After reigning for several millennia, death will ultimately and finally be defeated and will be no more!
 
Rev 21:1-8

This is the third in a four-part series on the realities and lies of death. This week: Death reigned from Adam onward; however, Christ came and conquered its dominion.

Death’s sting—sin—initiated through disobedience in the garden, continues to impact God’s creation today.  God, though, didn't leave us hanging.  Just as all die in Adam, all can be made alive in Christ—both now and in the future. 

Big Idea of the Series: This series follows “death” from Genesis to Revelation, recounting its beginning, its sting, its reign, and its multiple losses until its final defeat through the work of Christ on the cross. One day, the last enemy, which is death, will be destroyed and its sting neutralized removed forever!   
This Week: Death enters God’s creation through Adam’s disobedience, and willful disobedience continues to bring death to unbelievers today. 

This week, we take a look at Matthew 5:13-16, and Jesus's call for his disciples to be salt and light. It might mean more than you think.
